In light of the recent instances of trespassing and vandalism, one resident’s garage door opener was stolen. Because of this loss, it places our community at greater risk, as the holder of this opener could enter our garage at any time, increasing the risk of further vandalism. The Board of Directors believe that for the safety of our community members and our property, it is important to Re-program ALL garage door openers currently held by residents and owners of the Pilot House. Once all resident garage door openers are Re-programmed, we will set the Re-programming of the surface lot gate and lower level garage gate to be effective as of 8:00 pm Friday, September 2.
The Board will hold two sessions on Friday, September 2 for the purpose of assisting residents with Re-programming garage door openers. You may simply bring your garage door opener(s) with you to the session and we will Re-program it for you. The process should take about a few minutes of your time. For residents, who have your vehicles programmed to open the garage doors, this will require re-programming as well. We are unfortunately unable to assist you with this, but we advise the resident to consult their vehicle manual for programming procedures. The first session will occur Friday, September 2 between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm and the second session that same day between 6 pm and 7:30 pm. We will plan to hold the session on the dock under the pergola. If weather is not suitable, it will occur in the 2nd floor lobby.
A third session will be held on September 9 for anyone, who was unable to attend the earlier sessions. This last session will be held at 4:30 pm on the dock. So, for those who are attending the informal cocktail party (@5:30), just come a little early for a quick re-programming and enjoy yourself with friends and neighbors.
The Board of Directors apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe the overall safety of our residents is paramount.
Appreciate your attentiveness to the issue and speedy response!
